Summer is
nearing the
end, and as
I write
this, it
looks like
our first
hurricane of
the season
may be
brewing. It
also means
the start of
school, the
start of
college
football,
and the
start of our
club's year.
We’ll still
be meeting
at the
University
Club for the
foreseeable
future. We
meet on the
first
Tuesday of
each month
at noon. The
University
Club is
located at
150 E.
Central
Blvd. in
downtown
Orlando,
directly
across the
street from
the downtown
branch of
the public
library.
However,
since the
first
Tuesday in
September is
the day
after Labor
Day, we've
moved the
September
meeting to
the 2nd
Tuesday –
the 9th. So
who do we
have lined
up? How
about Val B.
Demings, the
Chief of
Police of
the Orlando
Police
Department!
